The state of California provided Alana Gershfeld with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from the University of West Los Angeles Law School, a 3rd tier
The State Bar Court found Alana guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Alana represented a client in a personal injury case. Alana filed a lawsuit but failed to attend three court-scheduled hearings and the case was dismissed for lack of prosecution. Alana’s client tried to contact her at least 12 times for an update, but she didn’t return any of the calls.
Subsequently, Alana filed to a motion to set aside the dismissal, which the court granted; however she did not appear at a scheduled case management conference and the trial court dismissed the case for a second time.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Alana by gifting her with a 90-day suspension of her law license.
As we speak (ca. May 2013) Alana practices the Alana Gershfeld Law Offices at 8491 Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, California.
