Attorney Ernest Shaver of Phoenix; ethical dwarf
The state of Arizona presented Ernest E. Shaver with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from William & Mary University Law School.
The Arizona State Bar found Ernie guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to consult with client so client could make informed decisions re: representation
- Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
- Failed to communicate with client
- Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
- Charged an excessive fee
- Failed to safeguard client property
- Misconduct involved multiple offenses
- Failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interest after being discharged
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Ernie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
As we speak (ca. October 2014) Ernie practices in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
