Former Judge Daniel Moore of Nashua, NH; convicted felon

The state of New Hampshire presented Daniel W. Moore with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from South Texas University Law School.

Danny’s misconduct came about while he was sitting as a 9th Circuit Court Judge in Nashua.

In one matter, the state Attorney General’s office filed one felony charge alleging that Paulie wrote fake performance evaluations in an attempt to defraud the New Hampshire judicial retirement plan. Subsequently, Paulie pled guilty to one felony count of fraud.

The state began to question Danny’s performance evaluations because he was receiving perfect scores on evaluations that were supposed to be completed by other lawyers and the public. The evaluations for 2008, 2011 and 2014 had scores much higher than other judges and the writing styles were the same on the reports, such as frequent exclamation points which he uses in his writing. His 2017 evaluation was submitted with an application for a Supreme Court appointment. (Amanda Griffin)

Judge John Kissinger sentenced Danny to 12 months in prison, fined $4,000 and ordered to pay the Judicial Retirement System $3,900.

Associated Attorney General Jane Young stated:

  • “He was given one of the highest positions in the state.”
  • “He stood in judgment of people every day.”
  • “Had he been granted a disability retirement, he would have been paid a retirement plus benefits for the rest of his days that was paid with taxpayer dollars.”

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Danny regarding his law license by the enablers for Judicial and Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
