Judge William Holden of Norwalk, Connecticut; lazy Dumbo

The state of Connecticut provided William Holden with a law license in 1973.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Negligently failed to perform judicial duties
  • Failed to promptly dispose of court business
  • Failed to timely respond to motion
  • Failed to perform judicial duties competently (Dumbo)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

In one matter, it took Lazy Bill two (2) years to file a response to a motion filed in his court.

In another matter, it took Lazy Bill thirteen (13) months to perform the perfunctory task of signing off on a trial transcript.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers sitting on the Judicial Review Council punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 20-day suspension.

As we speak (ca. July 2014) Billy continues to sit as a Superior Court Judge in Norwalk, Connecticut.
