Judge Michael Kwan of Taylorsville, UT; ethical gremlin

The state of Utah presented Michael W. Kwan with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Whittier College Law School.

The Judicial Commission found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Conduct brought judiciary into disrepute
• Failed to be courteous and patient with parties appearing before him

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2016) Mike continues to sit as a Taylorsville Municipal Justice Court judge in Taylorsville, Utah.
