Judge James Shumate of Ivins, UT; ethical dwarf 

The state of Utah presented James L. Shumate with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Utah Law School.

The Judicial Commission found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to file notice of filing lawsuit with Iron County Recorder’s Office
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct that demeaned his judicial office
• Brought his judicial office into disrepute

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2016) Jimmy continues to sit as an Iron County District Court in Ivins, Utah.
