Judge Martin Hastings of Las Vegas; ethical troll

The state of Idaho presented Mark James Guerry with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Idaho School of Law.

The Nevada Commission on Judicial Commission has charged Marty with engaging in the following misconduct.

• Refused to abide by law/rule requiring him to be the 24/7 on-call judge on a rotating six-week call of duty regarding police seeking telephonic search warrants involving suspected drivers driving under the influence
• Failed to abide by instructions/warnings from presiding judge to perform the on-call judicial duties
• During interview with ethics investigators told them he would continue to refuse to perform any on-call judicial duties (Screw you, said Marty!)
• Repeatedly failed to comply with the law
• Failed to act in manner promoting confidence in the judiciary
• Failed to cooperate with fellow judges and court officials in the administration of court business

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Marty by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. September 2018), Marty continues to sit as Clark County Municipal Court judge in Las Vegas, Nevada.
