Judge Terry Elia of Highland, NY; ethical misfit

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Terry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• On his LinkedIn profile, Terry improperly liked, shared and/or commented on publicly visible LinkedIn posts
• Cast doubt on his ability to be impartial in matters involving law enforcement
• Matters pertaining to partisan politics
• Commented on matters of public controversy
• Made public comments about a pending or impending proceeding in another court within the United States
• E. appeared to lend the prestige of his judicial office to advance a private fundraising appeal

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Commission on Judicial Conduct punished Terry by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), Terry practices his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a Justice of the Lloyd Town Court, Ulster County in Highland, New York.
