Mike Huckabee Today’s “Liar” Award Winner
This isn’t the first Award presented to Mike. In the past, he has been the recipient of twenty-seven (27) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.
During a recent (mid-November 2015) appearance before the “Presidential Family Forum” in Iowa, Mike shamelessly attempted to cause his conservative Christian audience to become outraged by falsely stating that the U.S. government was working to deport a German family who sought asylum in America in order to home school their children. It is illegal in German to home school one’s children. In 2010, the Romeike family sought asylum by claiming they would face fines, imprisonment and loss of custody of their children if they were deported back to Germany.
After years in the courts, the Supreme Court finally refused to grant the appeal filed by the Roemeike appeal. However, in 2014 the Department of Homeland Security (DHs) announced that the Romeike family would be granted “indefinite deferred action status,” which would allow them to remain in America.
Despite the actions of DHS, Mike knowingly lied to the audience by saying:

When the Home School Legal Defense Association was contacted about the matter, they said they were not aware of any steps taken by Homeland Security to deport its clients, the Romeike family.
Congrats Mike; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Liars”; you are far too humble.
