Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne (R-LA): Today’s “Dumbo” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne (R-MN)

Today’s “Dumbo” Award Winner

Jay is another lawyer who opted for government employment because he was apparently unable to earn a decent living as a dishonest attorney.

Jay has spent the last twenty-two (22) years with his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough as an elected official in various positions in Louisiana.

Recently (03/04/14), Jay announced his intentions to get a billboard criticizing Gov. Bobby Jindal for not expanding Medicaid under Obamacare taken down.

Jay had the chutzpah to send a cease and desist letter to MoveOn.org, the liberal organization that paid for the billboard, demanding that it be dismantled.

The billboard states: “LOUISIANA: Pick your passion! But hope you don’t love your health. Gov. Jindal’s denying Medicaid to 242,000 people.”

Apparently, the law school at Louisiana State University didn’t offer courses on First Amendment Free Speech rights when Jay attended Louisiana State University (LSU) in the late 90s.

MoveOn has refused to remove the billboard. Nick Berning, the group’s communications director said, “It’s pretty clear the First Amendment protects this sort of speech.”

Congrats Jay; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Dumbos”; you are far too humble.
