Sen. Ron Johnson(WI): Today’s “Dumbo” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Sen. Ron Johnson (WI)

Today’s “Dumbo” Award Winner

In November 2014, Ronnie duped the voters in Wisconsin into electing him as a member of the U.S. Senate.

During a recent (May 2015) interview with a WisPolitics.com reporter, Ronnie stated that there was an ongoing effort to create a “cultural attitude” wherein people would be made to believe that “government is good and business is bad.” (Huffington Post)

Ronnie laughingly blamed “The Lego Movie” as evidence of a propaganda campaign to paint the heartless businessman as the bad guy who intends to destroy the world for profit. He went on to say:

  • “That’s done for a reason.”
  • “They’re starting that propaganda, and it’s insidious.

Ronnie then laughingly claimed that while fundraising, the following took place:

  • “I actually called a gentleman, it was a couple months ago, he was so upset, he took his children to an animated movie ... guess who the villain was? Evil Mr. Businessperson.”
  • “It's insidious. That propaganda starts very early.”

I seriously doubt that Ronnie ever spoke with anyone as he claimed he did. Put simply, its more likely than not that Ronnie fabricated the conversation.

I suppose Ronnie will also claim that the following comedic movies were made with the sole intent to vilify businessmen as evil.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” starring Lionel Barrymore and James Stewart

“The Solid Gold Cadillac” narrated by George Burns

“How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying” starring Robert Morse

“Glengarry Glen Ross” starring Alec Baldwin

It would appear that Ronnie’s main source of information comes about from his subscription to “Mad Magazine.”

Congrats Ronnie; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Dumbos”; you are far too

Humble.
