State Rep. Steve Alford (R-KS): Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner

Stevie duped the voters in the greater Grant County area into electing him as a member of the Kansas State House of Representatives in November 2010.

During a recent (early January 2018) “Legislative Coffee” session, Stevie the Bigot was arguing against the legalization of medicinal or recreational marijuana when he said that Jim Crow-ear policies banning drugs such as pot were instituted to protect other citizens [honkies] from the drug use of black Americans. Stevie went on to say:

  • “Basically, any way you say it, marijuana is an entry drug into the higher drug.”
  • “What you really need to do is go back in the ’30s, when they outlawed all types of drugs in Kansas and across the United States.”

The Bigot continued with his racist rant by saying:

  • “What was the reason why they did that?”
  • “One of the reasons why, I hate to say it, was that the African-Americans, they were basically users and they basically responded the worst to those drugs just because of their character makeup, their genetics and that.”

Stevie completed his disgusting comments by saying:

  • “And so basically what we’re trying to do is we’re trying to do a complete reverse, with people not remembering what has happened in the past.”

Stevie’s Basis for Being a Dyed-in-the Wool Bigot

The following facts clearly prove that Stevie doesn’t have to worry about the voters in his district taking offense to his racist comments by voting him out of office (source: U.S. Census Bureau)

  • 18,935 = White population
  • 105 = Black population
  • 13,759 = White voting age population
  • 50 = Black voting age population

The above statistics clearly demonstrate why Stevie feels comfortable in openly proving that he’s a bigot.
