Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner

Tommy duped the voters in the Wyoming, Michigan area into electing him as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2010.

Over the past forty-two years (1973 to 2015) Tommy has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough. If it weren’t for a government check, Tommy likely would have been relegated to working as a greeter at the Walmart store in Wyoming, Michigan.

Recently (early December 2015), Tommy introduced a resolution that recommended that state officials ignore the Supreme Court’s marriage equality ruling, calling the decision “illegitimate” and urged officials to “re-claim this state’s sovereignty by not recognizing or enforcing.”

Tommy’s rant was given at a rally outside the capitol held to allegedly protect religious people and stop the persecution of religious people. Tommy then told the intellectually bereft audience:

• “The Supreme Court is not a Legislature."
• "Courts do not substitute their social and economic beliefs for the judgment of legislative bodies or elected and officials and passed laws.”

Only a mental dwarf would actually advise public officials to ignore the ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Will Tommy now tell public officials in Michigan that they can force minorities to pay a poll tax for the privilege of voting in the 2016 presidential election?

And lastly, one must seriously wonder why Tommy expends so much energy attacking members of the gay community. Maybe we need to ask Tommy the following:

“What’s in your closet, Tommy?”

Congrats Tommy; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bigots”; you are far too humble.
