Attorney Gary Neinstein of Toronto, CAN; lying loser

The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Gary Neinstein with a law license in 1970 after he graduated from the University of Toronto Law School.

A Disciplinary Hearing Panel found Gary guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to treat court with candor (lying), fairness and respect
  • Commissioned and/or swore and filed affidavits containing information which he knew or should have known was false
  • Misled Public Guardian by advising her that his client M.D. was estranged from his family
  • Accepted retainers from 6 clients in litigation involving another client
  • Acted against the interests of one or more clients
  • Attempted to include clause in settlement agreement that would have barred client and her lawyer from making an ethics complaint against Gary with the Law Society
  • Failed to comply with several court orders

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society punished

Gary by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2018), Gary practices with Neinstein & Associates LLP at 1200 Bay Street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
