The Law Society of British Columbia presented David Michael Ashton with a law license in 1990.

The Law Society of British Columbia Disciplinary Committee found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to observe professional duties owed to a client
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours said Dave!)
• Committed professional misconduct
• Failed to observe professional duties owed to the Law
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Procrastination in client’s divorce took a year longer than it should have

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Dave by gifting him a complimentary reprimand.
