Former Gov. Edward Rendell made a monumental error when he was persuaded to appoint Dr. Marc Sandler, a dentist in Philadelphia as a lay member of the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline in 2004.
Of course Dr. Sandler obtained his appointment because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local Democratic hacks in the Philly area.
During his unremarkable career as a member of the Judicial Commission, Dr. Sandler was a reliable and steady enabler and apologist for Judicial Misfits.
In a stunning example of proving his bona fides as Pennsylvania’s finest enabler for judicial misfits, Dr. Sandler had the audacity to cast a dissenting vote when the Commission voted to remove Judge Allan “The Perv” Berkhimer from the bench. In his apologetic dissent, Dr. Sandler said “removal is too harsh in the circumstance of this case. While Allan’s conduct was rude, and even nasty it wasn’t criminal. In my view, a six month suspension without pay would be appropriate.”
Obviously, Dr. Sanders missed his calling as a standup comedian. What a loser!
