Fox News' Brit Hume: Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Fox News' Brit Hume

Today’s “Bullshit”Award Winner

During a recent (mid-September 2016) episode of Special Report with Brit Hume Comedy Show, Brit decided to speak about Hillary Clinton’s recent illness associated with pneumonia. Towards that end, Brit engaged in the following conversation with fellow comedian and Bullshitter Howard Kurtz.

BRIT:

  • “By the way, what did you make of the -- when she came out in the street on Sunday and said she was fine and this adorable little girl materializes.”
  • “I think that people were suspicious of that, that it looked like it might have been staged.”

HOWARD:

  • “Oh, something, staged in politics. I’m shocked.”

BRIT:

  • “Well, I'm just saying, you know, it may well not have been. I'm not saying it was. I'm just saying the secretiveness stuff leads to such thoughts.”

Only dyed-in-the-wool right-wing ideologues and Trump enablers would make such comments. This would be akin to Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews engaging in the following dialogue.

RACHEL:

  • “Chris, what do you think about the rumor that Donald Trump was engaged in a homosexual affair when he attended Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania?”

CHRIS:

  • “Well, there’s no hard evidence that this is true; however, there’s no way to disprove it unless Donald does so.”

RACHEL:

  • “Yeah, you’re right Chris. I’m not saying it’s true but I know I’ve heard something about it so it could possibly be true.”

Of course if Rachel and Chris engaged in such off-the-wall speculation based on some unfounded rumor, Fox News would go crazy in attacking them. But when the shoes on the other foot, the comedians working for Fox believe they can spew forth any hyperbole (BS) that their fevered minds can manufacture.

Congrats Brit; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bullshitters”; you are far too humble.
