2015 “Homophobe” Award Winner: Chief Justice Roy Moore (AL)

Royis the infamous Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court who was previously tossed off the bench for violating a federal court order to remove a Ten Commandment monument from the courthouse grounds.

After the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling regarding marriage equality, Roy issued an invalid order to all Probate judges in Alabama instructing them to ignore the ruling and not issue any marriage licenses to gay couples. This was just another example of Roy proving that he’s deserving winner of the 2015 Homophobe Award.

As a consequence of his laughable claim that he can tell the U.S. Supreme Court to take a hike if he doesn’t personally agree with its rulings has now led to the distinct possibility that he will once again be removed as Alabama’s Chief Justice.

As you can imagine, the competition amongst the candidates in this category was very keen to say the least. The deserving and highly competitive runner-ups are as follows:

  • Kim Davis: Kentucky county clerk
  • Sandy Rios: American Family Association
  • U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas
  • Tony Perkins: American Research Council President
  • James Dobson: Focus on the Wallett

We offer our sincerest condolences to the aforementioned group of losers; however, I’m sure most if not all of them will be in the running for this esteemed award in 2016. Here’s wishing y’all better luck next year!

It should be noted that in addition to being an award winning Homophobe, Roy is also a highly accomplished Lunatic and Aspiring Standup Comedian. In fact, his loathsome conduct has led to him receiving fifteen (15) Awards in various categories.

Congrats Roy; keep up the good work! You should be proud to be the 2015 “Homophobe” Award winner. Given you deplorable record, we’re confident that you’ll be in the running for the 2016 Award. Good luck, Roy!
