Attorney Jesse Johansen of Superior, WI; cheating loser

The state of Wisconsin provided Jesse Johansen with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from California Western University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Jesse guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide client with mandatory written contingent fee agreement
  • Mishandled client settlement proceeds
  • Violated numerous trust account rules
  • Acted deceitfully toward a client
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Jesse!)
  • Failed to respond to client status-update requests
  • When client terminated him and asked for refund of $1,500 advance fee, Jesse failed to respond
  • Client forced to sue Jess in small claims court and received judgement, however he failed to respond to court orders associated with said judgment (Up yours, said Jesse!)
  • Failed to advise client that his law license had been suspended

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Jesse by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license and ordered him to pay $5,253.95 in disciplinary proceeding costs. Additionally, ordered to pay $2,900 in restitution to two former clients (victims).

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Jesse practices at 515 Belknap Street in Superior, Wisconsin.
