The state of Wisconsin presented Thomas J. McClure with a law license in 1980 after he graduated Marquette University Law School.

 

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide client with required written fee agreement
  • Failed to hold advance fees in trust account
  • Failed to timely file state and federal tax returns for several years
  • Placed all his monies into office trust account to prevent seizure by IRS
  • File false certificates certifying compliance with record-keeping rules
  • Failed to retain monthly reconciliation reports
  • Failed to main individual client ledgers
  • Wrote check on insufficient account (rubber)
  • Made at least 670 improper cash withdrawals from trust account
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Converted client funds to personal use
  • Failed to promptly deliver funds to medical providers

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. April 2015), Tommy practices at 15 Crossroads Court in Delafield, Wisconsin.
