Attorney John R. Dade of Whitewater, WI; repeat offender, ethical dwarf

The state of Wisconsin presented John R. Dade with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

As you’ll see below this is Johnny’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree.

Johnny was found guilty of misconduct in regards to his handling of a client’s July 2008 request that he evaluate possible avenues of post conviction relief. For over two years Johnny never communicated with the client and subsequently refused to return the client’s files to him.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR) found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failing to provide competent representation (Dufus)
  2. Failing to act with reasonable diligence (lazy)
  3. Failing to communicate with a client
  4. Refusing to cooperate with ethics investigation
As a consequence of his misconduct, the sympathizers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a reprimand.

3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree – 2007

In 2007 Johnny received a complimentary reprimand for incompetent representation, failing to act with reasonable diligence, and failing to communicate with a client
  1. Failing to act with reasonable diligence (lazy)
  2. Refusing to cooperate with ethics investigation
  3. Failing to hold clients fund in trust account
This laughable punishment of a 4-time offender is one of the primary reasons why most Wisconsinites have no respect for the Legal Industry in Wisconsin.

As we speak (ca. June 2015, Johnny practices with the Dade & Penwell Law Office at 803 East Milwaukee Street in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
