Attorney Justin C. Osemene of Mill Seattle, WA; check bouncing slacker

The State of Washington presented Justin C. Osemene with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Seattle University School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Justin guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Selfish motive involved in misconduct
  • Failed to maintain required trust account records
  • Knowingly caused injury by frustrating and delaying ethics investigation (Up yours, said Justin!)
  • Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to do so
  • Untruthful in statements to others
  • Repeatedly wrote checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to communicate with his client
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Misconduct involved multiple violations
  • Engaged in deceptive practices in dealing with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Justin!)
  • Delayed in providing his complete file to his clients
  • Made settlement offers and counteroffers to opposing counsel when he had not been authorized to do by his clients
  • Lied to opposing counsel that he had spoken to his client and was authorized to make a counteroffer when he had not spoken with his client and had not obtained authority to make a counteroffer
  • Failed to perform monthly reconciliations of client trust accounts

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Justin by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2021) Justin practices his brand of law with the Intellex Law Group PLLC at University Station in Seattle, Washington.
