Attorney Shana Pavithran of Issaquah, WA; ethical goblin

The state of Oregon provided Shana Pavithran with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from Northwestern University Law School.

The Oregon State Bar found Shana guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with client
• Postponed trial dates w/o notifying client
• Failed to advise client of requirement to attend parent evaluation appointment
• Failed to file judgment form
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Shana!)
• Failed to promptly return client property upon request
• Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
• Neglected legal matter entrusted to her    
• Failed to withdraw when it was obvious that her continued employment would result in a violation of a disciplinary rule
• Failed to deposit and maintain client funds in trust account

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Shana by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license.
