Attorney Andrew Mathis of Tacoma; convicted tax cheat

The state of Washington presented Andrew Tobin Mathis with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Santa Clara University Law School.

The Washington State Bar found Andy guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Andy was criminally charged with violating 26 U.S.C. § 7203, a misdemeanor for failing to pay taxes owing in the amount of $54,667 to the IRS. Subsequently, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years of probation.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Andy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2015), Andy practices with the Anderson Law Group PLLC at 732 Broadway in Tacoma, Washington.
