Attorney George Trejo Jr. of Yakima, WA; repeat offender 

 

The state of Washington presented George Trejo Jr. with a law license in 1990.

 

The Washington State Bar found George guilty of the following misconduct.

 

George’s 1stbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to provide competent representation (Moron)
  • Failed to file appeal on client’s behalf
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Charged excessive fees (thief)
  • Failed to file notice of appearance on client’s behalf
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests after discharge
  • Refused to refund improperly billed non-fundable fee
  • Failed to timely cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said George!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished George by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

George’s 2ndbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to preserve identity of client funds
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Allowed trust account to be overdrawn
  • Failed to deposit client funds in required interest bearing account

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished George by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. April 2015), George practices with The Trejo Law Firm at 701 North First Street in Yakima, Washington.
