Attorney Bruce Coane of Houston; deceitful loser

The state of Texas presented Bruce A. Coane with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The 80th District Court of Harris County found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Knowingly violated rules or assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another, whether or not such violation occurred in the course of a client-lawyer relationship
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct constituting obstruction of justice
  • Failed to disclose a fact to a tribunal when disclosure is necessary to avoid assisting a criminal or fraudulent act
  • Unlawfully obstructed another party's access to evidence;
  • Improperly communicated with someone represented by counsel
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bruce.

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Bruce practices with Coane and Associates PLLC at 5177 Richmond Avenue in Houston, Texas.
