Attorney James Adams of Memphis; ethical goblin

The state of Tennessee provided James Dwight Adams with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from Memphis State University Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rule of Conduct by knowingly assisting or inducing another to do so or through the acts of another
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2014) Jimmy practices at 5305 Lexington Road in Memphis, Tennessee.
