► Attorney William White III of Columbia, SC; serial offender

The State of South Carolina presented William Gary White III with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Billy!)
  2. Failed to respect the rights of third parties
  3. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  4. Violated the Lawyer’s Oath he took when admitted to practice
  5. Displayed a total lack of remorse
  6. Refused to acknowledge the wrongful nature of his conduct
  7. Displayed total disregard and disrespect for disciplinary proceedings
  8. Engaged in conduct that tended to bring legal profession into disrepute
  9. Demonstrated unfitness to practice law

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Billy’s First Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary suspension of his law license and a public reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2014), Billy practices at 2009 Lincoln Street in Columbia, South Carolina.
