Attorney Carroll Gantt Jr. of Columbia, SC; lying loser

The State of South Carolina presented Carroll A. Gantt Jr. with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Carroll guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Knowingly made false statement of material fact to third person

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Carroll by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.
