Attorney Nicholas Gelfuso of Central Falls, RI; deceitful loser

The state of Rhode Island provided Nicholas S. Gelfuso with a law license in 2008.

The Statewide Grievance Committee along with the Rhode Island Supreme Court found Nicky guilty of the following misconduct. Nicky also received a law license from Connecticut and Massachusetts.

  • Client’s discrimination case dismissed by trial court v. all defendants
  • Despite dismissal of client’s case, Nicky refiled against dismissed defendants
  • Trial court once again dismissed Nicky’s sham lawsuits
  • Trial court imposed monetary sanctions re: Nickey’s frivolous conduct
  • Refused to understand or accept finality of dismissal of client’s claims
  • Conduct caused the court to squander limited resources dealing with Nickey’s sham filings
  • Unreasonable that Nicky held a belief that certain defendants never responded to and/or took actions to defend against the lawsuits he filed on his client’s behalf
  • Failed to have a good-faith basis to support affidavits he filed with the clerk of court in support of his applications for default judgment
  • Nicky’s conduct caused defendants and their attorneys to spend unnecessary time responding to his frivolous court filings
  • Filing of default applications with the clerk without notice to the defendants or their counsel, was dishonest and deceitful
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Pursuit of cleint claims were misleading, disingenuous and harassing
  • Knowingly made a false statement of fact or law to a tribunal or failed to correct a false statement of material fact or law previously made to a tribunal
  • Failed to fully grasp that his conduct was wrongful

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court punished Nicky by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2017), Nicky practices at 131 Clay Street in Central Falls, Rhode Island.
