Attorney Dennis Mark of Scranton; Dufus, ethical misfit
The state of Pennsylvania provided Dennis J. Mark with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) has found Denny guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to return client phone calls
- Failed to consult with client re: means to achieve client objectives
- Failed to provide competent representation (Dufus)
- Failed to abide by client instructions re: objectives of representation
- Failed to keep clients informed as to status of legal matters
- Charged or collected a clearly excessive fee (cheater)
- Failed to provide client with required written fee agreement
- Commingled client property with personal property
- Failed to notify clients of receipt of funds owed to clients
- Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client’s interests after discharge
- Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
- Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Denny by gifting him a stayed complimentary censure.
As we speak (ca. March 2014) Denny practices at 108 North Washington Avenue in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
