Attorney Robert Gibson of Philadelphia; convicted of assault
The state of Pennsylvania presented Robert Thomas Gibson with a law license in 1995.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.
Bobby was engaged in a bar fight in West Chester, Pennsylvania and punched in the nose by another patron. The police arrived at the scene and Bobby was placed under arrest and charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
While at the police station, Bobby spat and later hit a police officer while being handcuffed to a gurney so that he could be taken to the hospital for treatment.
Bobby was subsequently charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, simple assault, aggravated harassment by a prisoner.
Following a jury trial, Bobby was found guilty of aggravated assault, simple assault, and aggravated harassment by a prisoner and the summary offense of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Bobby was sentenced to one month in prison, four months of electronic home confinement, 300 hours of community services, a $200 fine, and 12 months of probation.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary one-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. November 2012) Bobby practices with the Gibson Law Firn at 1800 JFK Blvd in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
