Attorney William Weiss of Elkins Park, PA; thief, check bouncer

The state of Pennsylvania presented William J. Weiss with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the New York Law School

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Converted (stole) client funds
  • Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Billy!)
  • Cashed two client checks totaling $95,000 and used those funds to pay his credit card bills, car lease costs, charitable donations and investments in Cyber Zone Inc.
  • Wrote checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Failed to comply with subpoena to provide copies of bank records
  • Failed to maintain and preserve trust account books
  • Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of client funds
  • Made false or misleading statements
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him, with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2017), Billy practices at 8033 Old York Road in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.
