Attorney Norman Scott of Philadelphia; repeat offender

The state of Pennsylvania presented Norman Orville Scott with a law license in 1986.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Norm guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to file post conviction motion on client’s behalf after being appointed to represent the client
  • Failed to provide client with updates on status of legal matter
  • Failed to prosecute client’s claims
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Norm’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received an informal admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Norm by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2015) Norm practices at 1650 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Warning: Norm does not carry legal malpractice insurance
