Attorney Mark Elvin of Newtown Square, PA; convicted drunk, liar

 

The state of Pennsylvania provided Mark Eric Elvin with a law license in 2001 after she graduated from Temple University Law School.

 

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Involved in accident wherein he hit a motorcycle head on
  • Failed to provide any assistance to injured drive and passenger
  • Lied to patrolman that he had not been drinking prior to accident
  • Knowingly lied to patrolman that his drinking took place after the accident when he went home and had several drinks
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Pled guilty to causing accident involving death or personal injury
  • Pled guilty to injuring another person
  • Pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Sentenced to 16 days in jail
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. October 2018) Mark practices at with Simon & Simon PC at 1818 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
