Attorney Robert Klahn of Pendleton, OR; ethical elf
The state of Oregon provided Robert G. Klahn with a law license in 1980.
The Oregon State Bar found Robert guilty of the following misconduct.
Robert was appointed to represent a client pursuant to a contract with the State Court Administrator’s Office in regards to filing of post-conviction matters.
Robert thought it would be appropriate to bill the State of Oregon for the time he claimed he spent responding to an ethics complaint regarding his misconduct. Now you’ve got to be a real big dummy in addition to being morally corrupt to believe that the State should pay you an hourly rate for responding to an ethics complaint.
It appears that no self-respecting law firm in the greater Pendleton area was about to offer Robert a good paying job, which is why he had to obtain employment from the State to defend indigent criminals.
As expected, this wasn’t Robert’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonishment for failing to reply to requests from State Bar investigators and for engaging in a variety of other misconduct.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits at the Oregon State Bar punished Robert by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. September 2012) Robert practices at 125 Southeast Court Avenue in Pendleton, Oregon.
