The state of Oregon provided Mary W. Johnson with a law license in 1984 after she graduated from Williamette University Law School.

The Oregon State Bar found Mary guilty of the following misconduct.

1. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
2. Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Mary by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.
