Attorney Matthew Fortado of Akron; ethical troll, repeat offender

The state of Ohio provided Matthew Fortado with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Cornell University School of Law.

The Akron Bar Association found Matty guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a part time Sylvania City Prosecutor.

• Engaged in intimate sexual relationship with client
• Prohibited sexual relationship began after attorney/client relationship began

As one would suspect, this isn’t Matty’s First Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary 1-year suspension for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.
