Attorney Elizabeth Ford of Cincinnati; slacker, loser

The state of Ohio provided Elizabeth Lorraine Ford with a law license in 1997 after she graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Liana guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide client with written fee agreement
  • Failed to deposit advance fee into client trust account
  • Repeatedly failed to communicate with client
  • Wrote check on insufficient funds account as payment to client as reimbursement for unearned fees
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to respond to client information requests
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Liz!)
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Lied to client about sending $1500 refund representing unearned fees
  • Failed to provide client with copy of her file upon termination

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Liz by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Liz practices in Cincinnati, Ohio.
