Attorney Andrew Engel of Centerville, OH; repeat offender

The state of Ohio presented Andrew Mahlon Engel with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from American University Law School.

The Dayton Bar Association found Andy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected several legal matters entrusted to him
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Andy!)
  • Failed to return client phone calls
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Failed to seek lawful objectives of client
  • Failed to carry out contract of employment
  • Failed to advise clients he did not carry malpractice insurance

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Andy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Andy by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2015) Andy practices with Kendo, Alexander, Cooper & Engel, LLP at 7925 Paragon Road in Centerville, Ohio.
