Attorney Lawrence Kissling III of Raleigh, NC; ethical gnome

The state of North Carolina presented Lawrence J. Kissling III with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from Southwestern University School of Law.

FYI: Southwestern is ranked as the 167th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Larry guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Larry sent a postcard to a Greensboro resident that had just received a traffic: citation. Larry’s postcard solicited professional employment from the Greensboro resident (ambulance chasing.).

The solicitation was not placed in an envelope with “this is an advertisement for legal services” on the outside of the envelope in violation of the Revised Rules of Professional Conduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Larry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2020) Larry practices Lawrence J. Kissling PLLC at 4080 Barrett Drive in Raleigh, North Carolina.
