Attorney Wayne Clontz of Morganton, NC; serial offender 

 

The state of North Carolina presented Wayne O. Clontz with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from North Carolina Central University Law School.

 

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Wayne guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Wayne’s 4thbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to appear or appeared late at least two hearings on client’s behalf
  • Judge advised client to fire Wayne for failing to appear at hearings
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to assure assistant’s conduct compatible with code of professional conduct

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Wayne by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Wayne’s 5thbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to adequately communicate with client
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Wayne by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

In addition to the two complimentary reprimands referenced above, Wayne has also received two complimentary admonitions and one complimentary warning letter for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

 

As we speak (ca. April 2015) Wayne practices in the Morganton, North Carolina area.
