Attorney Anton Antomattei of Carmel, NY; serial convicted drunk

The state of New York presented Anton Antomattei with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Rutgers University Law School.

The Departmental Disciplinary Committee found Anton guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Anton pled guilty to driving while ability impaired by alcohol (DUI) and was sentenced to a conditional discharge, ordered to attend a DWI program, and his driver's license was revoked for six months.

Eighteen months later, Anton pled guilty in Criminal Court, Bronx County guilty to driving while ability impaired by alcohol (DUI). He was again sentenced to a conditional discharge, his driver's license was revoked for six months, and he was required to attend a DWI program.

Approximately 2½ years later, a member of the New York State Police observed Anton, alone, parked on the side of I-684 in Westchester County standing outside his car with the hazard lights flashing. When the trooper approached, Anton appeared intoxicated and was unable to perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested and results of a Breathalyzer test were .22% blood alcohol content. He was charged with felony driving while intoxicated since he had been convicted of driving while intoxicated as a misdemeanor within the preceding 10 years.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Departmental Disciplinary Committee punished Anton by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Anton practices at 49 Arborview in Carmel, New York.
