Attorney Joel Albert of Englewood Cliffs, NJ; slacker, repeat offender

 

The state of New Jersey presented Joel M. Albert with a law license in 1961 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

 

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Joel guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Joel’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfits Apple Tree

  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Joel!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Joel’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfits Apple Tree

  • Engaged in gross negligence in two matrimonial matters
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Joel!)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Improperly withdrew fees from client trust account
  • Failed to communicate with client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. July 2018), Joel practices in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
