The state of Missouri presented Robert B. Leggat Jr. with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Virginia Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Wrote check on insufficient funds account (rubber)
• Failed to deposit unearned fees into a trust account
• Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of client funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Missouri Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year term of probation.

In truth, the comedians sitting on Missouri Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bobby.
