Attorney M. Tayari Garrett of Minneapolis; lying loser

The state of Minnesota presented M. Tayari Garrett with a law license after she graduated from Syracuse University Law School.

The State Bar found Garrett guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Garrett represented a client regarding a mortgage fraud case. When the case was called for trial, Garrett skipped the trial and traveled to Paris to attend her brother’s wedding.

When the trial judge held a hearing to find Garrett guilty of contempt, she falsely claimed she was hospitalized on the date the trial was to start; however, she left for France the next day.

Judge William Howard presided over the fraud case. On two occasions, Garrett tried to remove Judge Howard from the case, claiming judicial misconduct and racial bias. She asked Judge Howard to delay the mortgage fraud trial and bought her airline ticket five days before he refused her second request.

As we speak (ca. June 2013). Garrett practices with Tayari Law PLLC at 80 South 8th Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

On her self-serving website at www.tayarilaw.com, Garrett makes no mention of the misconduct aforementioned. Apparently, she decided to conceal this information in order to not limit her future victim pool.
