Attorney Thomas Hackert of Minneapolis; ethical elf

The state of Minnesota presented Thomas Andrew Hackert with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Hamline University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Negligently misappropriated [stole] client funds
• Failed to maintain all required trust account books and records
• Negligence led to trust account shortages

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As one would suspect, Tommy fails to mention the above misconduct on his self-serving website at www.nepphackert.com.   Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.
