The state of Minnesota presented Paul Robert Hansmeier with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Memphis Law School.

It should be noted that Paulie built his so-called career suing people throughout the nation for downloading Internet porn.

The Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility has charged Paulie with engaging in the following misconduct. Paulie then set about filing what is charitably called “nuisance lawsuits” against small business owners for allegedly failing to comply with disability access laws.

The disciplinary petition stated that on numerous occasions, Paulie has been the subject of rulings that characterized the “porn trolling” lawsuits he filed as “vexatious litigation designed to coerce settlement.”

The petition came shortly after a U.S. Bankruptcy Court trustee asked the court to forcibly liquidate Paulie’s assets by arguing that Paulie attempted to obtain court protection from his creditors in “bad faith.”

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Paulie for his egregious misconduct.

As we speak (ca. November 2015), Paulie continues to practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
