Attorney Stephen Grigsby of Minneapolis; repeat offender

 

The state of Minnesota presented Stephen Vincent Grigsby with a law license in 1999.

 

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Stevie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to report income to tax authorities
  • Failed to maintain practice-related books and records
  • Failed to use written retainer agreements
  • Made misrepresentations (lied) to ethics investigator
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Stevie!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

 

Stevie’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Falsely signed former client’s name to brief
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Knowingly made a false statement of law or fact

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.
