The state of Minnesota presented David Lawrence McCormick with a law license in 1995

 

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer regulation found Dave Guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Dave’s 1stbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Neglected client matters
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Dave!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

Dave’s 2ndbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to properly file appeal on client’s behalf
  • Ignorantly advised client he didn’t have to comply with terms of probation while an appeal was pending
  • Improperly filed client’s appeal which led to dismissal by Appeals Court
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Dave!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

 

Dave’s 3rdbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

 

In one matter, while representing a defendant in a homicide case, Dave instructed an investigator to interview an anticipated witness in the case without first seeking and obtaining permission from the witness’ attorney.

 

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law

 

As we speak (May 2015), Dave practices at 310 Fourth Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
